About me
Sarah Deyoung (she/her) is the Professional Learning Lead at Clean Foundation, where she has developed and delivered dynamic programs that support educators in bringing climate and environmental education into their classroom. Sarah is passionate about weaving outdoor learning, social emotional learning, social and equitable justice as well as Indigenous Ways of Knowing throughout all learning opportunities. A former elementary teacher, Sarah is passionate about cross-curricular and outdoor learning. As a mom of two, she believes the most important lesson in life is to learn how to be a good human and to be kind. Sarah is dedicated to lifelong learning, literacy, and creating opportunities that support teachers as they support their students. She has helped hundreds of NS teachers to become comfortable and confident in environmental education. With a strong commitment to professional development, she strives to equip educators with the tools and strategies they need to thrive.
