About me
Maxine Koskie, B.Ed., is the National Education Coordinator for Project WET Canada, bringing over 38 years of K-12 teaching experience. She has been a passionate advocate of the Project WET Program since 1996, serving as a dedicated educator, outdoor leader, and community member. Maxine held roles as Sr. Assistant Education Coordinator (2019-2022) and has been the National Education Coordinator since 2023. Since 1997, she has led Project WET Certification Workshops, training teachers, entire school staff, school division support teams, homeschooling parents, park staff, Guides and Scouts leaders, university education students, and outdoor center staff. She values Project WET as an easy-to-use, hands-on, inquiry-based resource that enhances critical thinking, problem-solving, environmental and water literacy, stewardship, and equity. The program empowers educators to confidently teach climate change and environmental stewardship, promoting action-oriented education.
