About me
Marty McKeever is a settler who teaches at Paul Kane High School in Saint Albert, Alberta. He has been teaching French Immersion for 18 years and Wildlife for 5 years.
He is an outdoor enthusiast who on weekends can be found hiking, fishing, camping or visiting the dog park with his little buddy Sprocket the poodle/shitzu cross and his 2 kids Madelaine(8 yrs) and Finnegan (6 yrs). He has been happily married to his wife Kristin for 11 years and they continue to grow together on their path to reconciliation.
For the past 7 years, Marty has been dedicating his professional and personal learning energies towards finding stories of truth in an effort to better participate / facilitate reconciliation initiatives in his community. Additionally, Marty is a proud member of the Northern Buffalo Sundance Society that operates out of Maskêkosihk (Enoch, Alberta) where he has continued his spiritual journey using a blend of traditional Lakota and Sioux practices with Cree teachings.
