Marjan Akbari is an Art Program Coordinator with Prospect Human Services, where she has dedicated over eight years to teaching essential skills through art, outdoor activities, and community-building initiatives for individuals with developmental disabilities. Despite her academic background in Chemical Engineering, Marjan's passion has always been rooted in teaching, creativity, and fostering inclusive spaces. Her journey into the art and outdoor world began after immigrating to Calgary, where she volunteered with individuals with disabilities. This transformative experience revealed her calling and led to a rewarding career where she combines her love for art and teaching with her commitment to building meaningful connections. Marjan's work consistently focuses on fostering emotional well-being, social inclusion, and community engagement. Through her programs, she aims to inspire creativity, mindfulness, and personal growth, making a lasting impact on the lives of her clients.
