About me
Jo Joly is an outdoor guide and environmental educator serving as program manager for Families in Nature (FIN) in Austin, Texas. At FIN, she leads immersive outdoor programming including camping trips, conservation education and wilderness skills workshops that help families build lasting connections with the natural world. She creates accessible programs and curriculum that break down barriers to nature for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Jo holds a Masters in Anthrozoology and a BS in Animal Behavior, Ecology and Conservation from Canisius College. She is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, Wilderness First Aid provider, BCI bat walk ambassador, and NASP archery instructor. Prior to FIN, Jo developed STEAM curriculum, delivered animal education programs, and worked in humane education and wildlife care. Through her work, she strives to foster the next generation of nature stewards by helping families develop confidence, knowledge and joy in outdoor spaces.
