About me
Jaime Groeller is a settler Canadian who has been teaching for 15 years at a school with a focus on outdoor education and inquiry-based learning. This school is located in what is now often referred to as Calgary, Alberta, but is historically and currently known as Moh'kinstsis, Wîchispa, otôskwanihk, Guts’ists’i, Otos-kwunee. After teaching grades 8 and 9 for 10 years, she embarked on a new adventure teaching grade 4 in 2020. Over the last 15 years, Jaime has sought out opportunities to become a better teacher and citizen by engaging in numerous professional development opportunities focused on decolonization and anti-racist practices. Jaime seeks to access professional development opportunities, partner with other educators, and foreground equity practices to ensure her pedagogy meets the needs of all learners. In her daily practice, she strives to integrate Etuaptmumk (two-eyed seeing) into all aspects of her pedagogy.
