About me
"For over 30 years, I’ve dedicated my career to Early Childhood Education, but it wasn’t until the challenges of COVID-19 that I truly discovered the transformative power of nature. During the isolation of lockdowns, I started taking daily walks outside. This not only lifted my spirits but also significantly improved my mental health.
Inspired by this connection to nature, I enrolled in the Nature Practitioners course with the Child & Nature Alliance of Canada. This experience ignited my passion for outdoor education, leading me to integrate nature into my teaching. I witnessed firsthand how outdoor learning engages children, fostering creativity, resilience, and positive mental health. Nature offers children a space to explore, play, and express themselves freely, reducing anxiety and boosting their emotional well-being.Now, I advocate for connecting young learners with the natural world, believing it enriches their development and instills a lifelong respect for their environment."
