She brought her experience with her to the Faculty of Education at Brandon University in 2010 as the field experience director in the undergraduate teacher education program. In 2020 she completed her PhD and she now works as an associate professor in the faculty. She recently developed 2 nature-based learning courses for pre-service teachers and in-services teachers that focuses on bringing curricula to outdoor natural spaces in inclusive and accessible ways. The courses have become very popular amongst education students. Dr. Kokorudz spends much time advocating for nature-based pedagogical approaches in all schools and continues to encourage all educators to make nature-based learning a regular part of the pedagogical approaches while teaching all learners.
