About me
Cheryl is a proud Métis woman- otipemisiwak esquao- mother, and educator. She has over 30 years of teaching experience with Northern Lights School Division, Edmonton Public Schools and Elk Island Public Schools and the Alberta Teachers’ Association. She has recently retired from her role as First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education consultant from Elk Island Public Schools. Her family comes from various locations across the Métis homeland, including Red River, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, and Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement. She is honoured to work with her Nation and the staff of Rupertsland Institute to support Métis education throughout the province.
