About me
"Carissa Esau is a math, science, music and outdoor education teacher at a junior high school in Calgary, AB. She has been involved in a number of outdoor education programs including overnight programming, outdoor journaling and painting, climbing, rappelling and canoeing. In the summer, Carissa works in the Crowsnest Pass where she teaches canoeing and works with students on character development through outdoor pursuits. She is on the executive board of the Global, Environmental and Outdoor Education Council as the professional development director.
As an avid artist, Carissa illustrated a local book and has worked with local businesses to display her mountain-based art. She is a rock climber and trail runner and enjoys incorporating her passion for the outdoors into her teaching."
