About me
Beverley Bunker lives and works on Coast Salish territory, including the Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo First Nations. She is currently a French Immersion Helping Teacher in Surrey, BC and has experience as a classroom teacher, an instructor in pre-service teacher education, and as a teacher librarian with a focus on inquiry, language development, and social emotional learning. Beverley is passionate about taking learning outdoors to increase student engagement, well-being, and equity. She strives to foster a positive sense of identity in both educators and K-12 learners through deepening our connection with the more-than-human world. Outside of work, you will find her on forest trails, at the beach, or reading a book
