About me
With over three years of experience as an outdoor educator, I am dedicated to empowering both teachers and students to connect with nature in meaningful ways. Currently, I teach in Lac Seul First Nation in northwestern Ontario, on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek and Ojibwe peoples of Grand Treaty #3.
In my role, I lead hands-on workshops in paddling, archery, fishing, hiking, and more, collaborating with our three elementary schools within Lac Seul. Additionally, I teach a primary class for students in Kindergarten to Grade 1, specializing in integrating multiple subjects—such as literacy, math, social studies, and science—into outdoor learning experiences.
I am passionate about incorporating nature into my students' everyday lives. My background in educational leadership and commitment to school improvement align with my goals of inspiring educators to embrace outdoor education as a powerful tool for growth, resilience, and well-being.
