About me
Alana Kessler-Yudin is the Forest Program Lead at Friends Academy, where she fosters outdoor learning experiences that connect students to nature and inspire personal growth. She holds an M.A. in Special Education with a focus on Arts Integration and a B.A. in Religious Studies from American University's College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education. Alana's passion for outdoor education began in Berkeley, California, where she taught at an urban farm and Reggio Emilia Preschool. With a vibrant and creative approach, she is dedicated to building inclusive communities centered on nature, social justice, wellness, and play. Outside of work, Alana enjoys gardening, skiing, and hiking, and is driven by a deep love for both the outdoors and the power of learning through exploration.
