Welcome to the 2025 Outdoor Learning Conference
Thursday May 8, 2025 3:15pm - 4:30pm MDT
This workshop is for any educator - no matter the subject area or grade - who feels like they could benefit from more knowledge regarding the basics of climate change: this will be a crash course on the causes and mechanism of climate change, its impacts on societies and ecosystems, and different responses to the issue/what we as a society can do about it. A sound understanding of these topics can leave you feeling more equipped should it come up in your classroom or if you’d like to incorporate more climate change education into your teaching practice.
This workshop is offered in conjunction with “How To Teach About Climate Change: Guiding Principles”, which will focus on climate change pedagogy as opposed to climate change knowledge.
